Abstract

Background. The object of the study is magnetostrictive converter of fuel level and density (MCFLD) using ultrasonic torsional waves for telemetric systmes of ground vehicles monitoring (TS GVM). The subject of the research is the physical processes of information signals conversion in MCFLD tracts. The aim of this work is to develop theoretical design foundations for magnetostrictive converters of mechanical quantities.
Materials and methods. The work proposes mathematical model and a complex of programs for modeling of a new subclass of magnetostrictive converters of mechanical quantities.
Results. The article suggests new structural schemes of MCFLD using ultrasonic torsional waves for TS GVM and introduces the structure of the program complex and the results of modeling information signals conversion in their tracts, which makes it possible to assess their technical capabilities. 
Conclusions. The application of the considered complex of programs allows to create MCFLD using ultrasonic torsional waves for TS GVM with the required characteristics at minimal material and time expenditures.
